History
Chippewa Indians settled a large part of the area in the mid-18th Century. Grand Blanc,which means “Great White” in French,was named by French traders. The city was incorporated in March of 1930. The city is located within the Grand Blanc Charter Township but has its own local government including a mayor,a council and commissioners.
